REAL SKILLZ

Real Skillz is a popular multi-award winning Radio & TV Host on Lagos Hit Music Radio station Max FM 102.3 and TVC Entertainment. He is also an Entertainment Blogger; a well known and ever-rising Music A&R from Nigeria; a Talent Manager; a PR & Media Expert & Consultant; an Event Producer & Manager; an incubating Rapper; and a Life Guide.

He is a talented & dynamic two-edged sword that cut both the Music Industry and Media Industry in one swipe. 

BACKGROUND

Popularly çalled the ‘Magic King’ or the moniker ‘Leader Of Real Nation’, Real Skillz already knew what he wanted out of life from a very young age. As far back as Junior Secondary School, he had been a young intern at Raypower Lagos 100.5FM.

Real names Oluwaseun Ogundairo & born on the 12th Of November 1994 to a teacher mother, a lecturer father and a middle class family, he didn’t have a silver spoon to build his dreams, so he has been doing that with the gift God blessed him with, his unique golden voice and love-led spirit.

In one of his favorite quotes, he says ‘if you don’t have a golden sledge hammer to knock down the walls that life will put in your path enroute to success & greatness, put your hands together in prayer to God & use the gifts HE gave you’.

Originally born in Akoka where he grew up to the age of 8, he was also  breed by the city of Alagbado where he went through secondary school, he later returned back to his city of birth when he got admission into the University of Lagos for his first degree in Microbiology, later a Post-Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication and then on to a Masters degree in Public Relations & Advertising.

He had wasted no time joining Unilag Radio 103.1FM in his second year at the University of Lagos where he was able to get a rich wealth of experience all through his undergraduate and postgraduate years at the university, after which he was subsequently poached by Lagos Hit Music station, Max FM 102.3.

He is also a product of the Nigerian Broadcasting Academy and the popular private academy, ProEmcees.

AN INSPIRATIONAL ENTERTAINER ON RADIO

His drive and output on radio cannot be disconnected from his early rough years where he learnt the poetic twists of life and the absoluteness of God and how this great force determines the journey of a good-souled, diligent & divinely committed man through life. He believes life should be about spreading ‘love, light, joy & magic’ always and this wholly reflects in his output on radio as well.

Over the years, he has been tagged as one of the best voices that God has blessed Africa with and has been nominated countless times and won several awards such as Maya Africa Awards, Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards, Africa Youth Choice Awards, City People Music Awards, Nigeria Media Awards, SWAT Leadership Award, Golden Stars Awards, to name but a few. He is tagged as one of the shining lights of this generation in Media and Entertainment and a positive force and light of our times.

A RENOWNED & EVER-RISING MUSIC A&R

He is a renowned and ever-rising Music A&R in Nigeria who has over the span of his years in the Nigerian Music & Media Industry supported upcoming & rising artistes whilst helping to connect the dots between Record Labels & talented artistes (this part of his sojourn is currently private because of  Non-Disclosure terms with these record labels).

He has over the years created platforms on his Radio shows on every radio station he has worked at to help project the music gifts and talents of new talented Nigerian artistes (#NewOnTheRadar while he was at Unilag FM 103.1 and currently #SupportingNewNigerianAtistes on Lagos Hit Music station MAX FM 102.3).

He also created the #NewFire section on his steadily growing entertainment website REALSKILLZ.COM.NG to help spotlight, project & help music lovers discover gifted & amazing music talents from Nigeria, Africa & all around the world.

He has logged years of acting consulting and advisory capacity for multiple Record Labels, Music Management Companies, Music investors & Independent artistes and is one of the brightest & ever-rising Music A&R in Nigeria.

HIS MUSIC

He is an incubating Hiphop artiste who fuses his rap with soul & afro elements creating a genre which he calls ‘Rapfrosoul’ and which he is about to unleash that on the world.

He credits artistes like Jay Z, DMX, Chris Brown, Mario, John Legend, Kanye West, Vector, MI Abaga, Kendrick Lamar, J Cole, Chance The Rapper, Musiq Soulchild & Mannywellz as artistes that influence his music direction.

His music side is also another exciting side of him to watch out for!

THE FUTURE

Real Skillz has apparently placed his mark in the Nigerian Media and Entertainment industry as one to pay very close attention to as he continues to evolve & express, leaving a loving & lasting impression in the hearts of his fanbase, ‘Real Nation’ as they are popularly known. The years ahead are surely set to be great for him as he continues to show the world the different shades of greatness that he has got inside of him!
