Diddy Gets Served With Yet Another New Prison Release Date

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is now expected to be released from prison a bit sooner than originally planned. According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, his release date has been moved forward by 10 days to April 15, 2028—marking the second time his sentence has been reduced, with an earlier adjustment already shaving off more than a month.

The Bad Boy founder was found guilty last summer on two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution. He is currently serving his sentence at Fort Dix in New Jersey, a facility he reportedly chose for its access to drug rehabilitation programs.

This latest development comes as Diddy continues to pursue an appeal, which he first revealed in December. His legal team argues that the sentence overlooks what they describe as consensual activity and highlights that prosecutors failed to secure convictions on the most serious charges.

Prosecutors, however, strongly oppose the appeal. In their response, they accused Combs of carrying out his offenses in a deeply abusive manner, alleging he used violence, manipulation, and drugs against victims.

In a March 13 filing, Diddy’s attorneys went further, calling the sentence a “perversion of justice.” They are pushing for his immediate release, or at minimum, a new sentencing hearing.

Meanwhile, J. Cole recently brought Diddy back into the spotlight—though indirectly. During an appearance on Cam’ron’s Talk With Flee podcast, he declined to revisit a rumored altercation with Diddy at a 2013 MTV VMAs after-party.

Cole explained that he once considered speaking on the incident, noting that he and Diddy had long since moved past it. But given Diddy’s current situation, he chose to stay silent, saying it felt unnecessary—like adding fuel to the fire at a time when the mogul is already facing intense scrutiny.
