Fresh out and back in the spotlight, Fetty Wap recently pulled up to The Breakfast Club for his first interview since being released from prison—and he didn’t come empty-handed with gratitude. The New Jersey rapper took a moment to show love to the people who held him down while he was locked up, naming artists like Coi Leray, Chief Keef, and Albee Al. But one name, in particular, stood out above the rest: 50 Cent.

Fetty didn’t hold back when talking about 50’s support. “Man, I don’t even know where to start with him,” he admitted, recalling how 50 reached out from day one with a simple but powerful message: Whatever you need, I got you. That kind of generosity caught Fetty off guard—especially when 50 started checking in on where money was going and making sure everything was handled. “I wasn’t used to that,” Fetty said. “It’s usually the other way around.”

According to Fetty, 50 never disappeared. He answered calls, offered both financial and mental support, and even checked in right before Fetty’s release to ask, “How you getting home?” But true to form, 50 also delivered some tough love. “Stop f***ing up,” Fetty recalled him saying with a laugh. “You should’ve never stopped making music. Just get back to it and don’t waste no time.” No sugarcoating—just classic 50 Cent.

For Fetty, the message hit hard. He made it clear that this comeback feels like his final shot. “If you’re in this industry, you know what that means,” he said. “You gotta make it count.”

50 Cent later returned the love on Instagram, posting a clip from the interview and celebrating Fetty’s freedom with his signature confidence: “WOP HOME fresh out the FED’S ready to work. He good—I got him. Let’s get it!”

Beyond 50, Fetty also reflected on the support he received from others in the industry. He spoke emotionally about Coi Leray, saying he still doesn’t know how to properly thank her for pushing their collaboration on her album as if it were her own—especially while he was behind bars. Sharing New Jersey roots, Fetty said that kind of hometown loyalty meant everything to him.
