After helming the likes of Rema, Ayra Starr, Magixx, Johnny Drille, Ladipoe, Boyspyce amongst others, acclaimed music mogul, Don Jazzy, has unveiled ‘Lifesize Teddy’ as his latest signee to his Mavin Records.
She becomes the first female rap artiste to be signed to the record label since its inception in 2012.
Introducing the new artiste on Instagram, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the company, Don Jazzy wrote:

“With the power vested in me by the Supreme Mavin Dynasty, it is my pleasure to introduce you to Mavin’s latest signee— rapper, poet, singer and songwriter, Lifesize Teddy. Please, follow and welcome (her).”

Getting straight to business, the singer then released a self-titled Extended Play album. Shortly after the announcement was made, many fans of the Mavin crew stormed the social media pages of the new signee to show support.
Similarly, other Mavin artistes including Ayra Starr, Johnny Drille, Magixx, Crayon, Ladipoe and the other label stars took turns to welcome the new artiste.
Johnny Drille wrote, “Welcome to the family, Lifesize Teddy. So excited for the world to experience your genius. Rooting for you the whole way.”

Mavin COO Tega Oghenejobo also echoed with the statement “Welcome to the Mavin Family”.

A rapper, singer, songwriter & performer, Lifesize Teddyartist is eclectic, talented, multi-dimensional, and utterly unpredictable.
Born Banigo Apiafi Treasure, Lifesize Teddy is as inspired by the unconventional, as she is by the mundane.
Born on Bonny Island in Rivers State, Lifesize Teddy attended the Federal Government Girls College in Port Harcourt. She is pursuing her passion for music at the University of Port Harcourt.
When Lifesize Teddy was nine, she discovered her passion for music and began writing her songs. Around that same time, she also started rapping, inspired by the impactful album College Dropout by Kanye West. Surprisingly, even at such a young age, Lifesize Teddy showcased incredible talent and soon gained recognition for her exceptional skills.

On her debut eponymous EP, the Bonny Island indigene serves an impressionable and experimental blend of five songs, which testifies to her impressive range, artistic intelligence, and sonic talent. On the opener, Air, Teddy presents a breezy number that properly displays her bias for rap. While she will go on to explore several genres on the tape, Air presents Teddy the Rapper as a smooth, savvy, and undeniably gifted student of the game.
Hypnotic follows. A captivating, high-energy number that fuses pop and hip-hop svelty, Hypnotic tells a quick-fire tale of desire. The production and delivery burns bright and fast, like the song’s subject matter. Butterflies is the album’s third track, and perhaps its most commercially promising. It explores the relatable theme of young love- its eagerness and electricity. It explores the passion inherent in unbridled romance, done simply and with the heart.
The project’s closer is the self-affirming autobiography that is Prophecy. Here, the artist declares herself “a living prophecy.” A worthy curtain drawer, Prophecy is a sentimental closer and statement of intent as Lifesize Teddy begins her bid to take over the world!!
