Soromkelechi Alfred Endaya Akogu also known as Skaa, is a rising versatile rapper who uses multiple musical styles to express himself, with his sound being a clever combination of modern laid back rap flows, inspired by American rappers such as Fabolous, J. Cole and Big L, just to mention a few, as a well as Nigerian rappers such as Naeto C, Show Dem Camp and MI Abaga.
In a period of 3 years, Skaa released a good number of tracks on all major music streaming platforms, racking up huge numbers of plays, and gaining a good amount of followers in the process on all social media platforms combined.
Skaa took a break to rebrand and focus on a different genre of music from what he originally started off doing. He likes to think of his new sound as global afro hip hop, a combination of catchy melodies and laid back rapping over hybrid afro beat intrumentals. This style of music is a result of the two genres of music he grew up on and was influenced by as a kid; Afrobeats (Nigerian Music) and Amercian Hip hop.
His new single RIGHT BACK features Burnaboy’s SPACESHIP act BUJU & the song is super wavy!
