AYRA STARR FT WIZKID – GIMME DAT
Nigerian Afrobeats powerhouses Ayra Starr and Wizkid have joined forces for their highly anticipated new single Gimme Dat.
The track marks their second collaboration, following the success of 2 Sugar from Wizkid’s 2022 album More Love, Less Ego, which earned a nomination for Best Afrobeats at the 2023 MTV VMAs.
Gimme Dat arrives as Ayra Starr’s second single of 2025, following All the Love in February, and Wizkid’s first release since his sixth studio album Morayo dropped in November 2024.
Both artists, known for their global impact, have set the Afrobeats scene ablaze with this sizzling track, already pitched by fans as a contender for the collaboration of the summer.

Nigerian Afrobeats heavyweight Tiwa Savage has dropped her latest single, You4Me, ushering in a soulful vibe just in time for summer.
The track, released via EMPIRE, marks her first lead single of the year and sets the tone for her upcoming fourth studio album, This One Is Personal, expected later in 2025.
Known for her genre-blending prowess, Tiwa leans heavily into her R&B roots with You4Me, a move that feels like a natural evolution for the artist who has long cited ‘90s R&B as a core influence.
You4Me is a lush, romantic anthem that samples Tamia’s 1998 classic So Into You, a track that peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and became a defining slow jam of the era.
Produced by Tiwa’s frequent collaborator Mystro, the song fuses nostalgic elements with a contemporary Afrobeats-R&B bounce, creating a smouldering groove that’s perfect for intimate settings.

SHALLIPOPI FT BURNA BOY – LAHO II
Nigerian street-pop star Shallipopi has officially released Laho II, the remix of the smash hit, featuring the African giant, Burna Boy.
The remix follows a viral moment when the two artists performed the track together for the first time at Burna Boy’s historic sold-out concert at Stade de France on April 19, 2025. The event, attended by roughly 100,000 fans, marked Burna Boy as the first African artist to sell out a stadium in Europe, and the debut live performance of Laho II sent the crowd into a frenzy, setting the stage for the remix’s highly anticipated release.
Laho II, produced by Progrex, retains the core elements of the original while introducing new layers that reflect Burna Boy’s Afrofusion influence. The remix features a slightly reworked instrumental with added synths, a deeper bassline, and subtle electronic flourishes, giving it a more polished, arena-ready sound. The track, produced by SBthaproducer (SB), marks FOLA’s first release of the year and serves as a lead single for his forthcoming project, expected later in 2025.
Following FOLA’s recent features on Bella Shmurda’s Dangbana Riddim and Zlatan’s Get Better, lost showcases his growing prominence in the street-pop scene while highlighting Kizz Daniel’s enduring influence as a chart-topping artist.
