Tariq is a fast-rising Nigerian singer & songwriter newly signed to choc city’s new sub-label ‘Nu Trybe’

 He also announced himself in the Nigerian music scene with his diverse new five-track EP dubbed, Son of The Moon.Having undergone training in the last year under the umbrella of Chocolate City Music’s NuTrybe’s academy for young talents, TAR1Q attributes his passion for music to a couple of big shots in the game including Davido, Wizkid, Chris Brown, and J Cole, and now combines different elements of these sounds into his own music.

In this project, he sings about a variety of relatable things including love, unrequited feelings, and self-confidence, with the track ‘Bad Intention’ standing out, depicting the artist’s desire to find pure and reciprocated love.
